Who it’s for
This course is suitable for anyone working in food preparation, food handling, food storage or food service roles. Under current food safety regulations, food business operators are required to ensure that food handlers receive appropriate training in food hygiene and safety.
The course is also relevant for supervisors and managers who oversee food handling staff and need a working understanding of food safety obligations.

- Common food poisoning bacteria and conditions for bacterial growth
- Personal hygiene standards for food handlers
- Cleaning procedures and schedules

Duration
Approximately 3 hours, delivered on-site or as a blended programme.

On-site, classroom-based delivery at your premises. A blended option is also available, combining online learning with an in-person session.
Certification
On successful completion, participants receive a UFAS Certificate of Attendance. The certificate is a UFAS certificate only — this course is not QQI-accredited or FSAI-recognised.
