Abrasive Wheels Training Course
Overview:
Abrasive wheels are widely used in various industries. Unfortunately, a significant number of accidents involving abrasive wheels are attributed to unsafe work systems or operator errors. To address this, we offer tailored training courses conducted either on-site at our customers' premises or at our dedicated training facility in Nottingham.
Legal Requirements for Training:
Training is a legal requirement for anyone operating abrasive wheel equipment. According to the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER98), all individuals using such equipment must receive adequate training. Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations states that employers must ensure that their employees receive proper training in health and safety, including methods, associated risks, and necessary precautions when using work equipment.

Our courses are customized to meet the specific needs of individuals and businesses, focusing on accident prevention, particularly injury prevention related to wheel breakage or contact with running wheels.
The aim of each course unit is to educate, assess, and certify learners in Safe Setting and Operator Training for each woodworking machine. This training aligns with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, the Workplace Health Safety and Welfare Regulations 1992, and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
