Prerequisites:
No specific prerequisites are necessary for enrolling in this course. Participants should, however, possess sufficient physical capability to perform chest compressions on a manikin while kneeling.

Delivery Method:
This course is conducted by a knowledgeable instructor who utilizes instructional DVDs to facilitate the learning process. The training sessions are conducted in English. Additionally, a Blended Learning option is available for this course.
Duration and Evaluation:
The course typically spans between 3 to 5 hours, depending on the number of participants. Evaluation consists of a practical scenario assessment and a set of 25 multiple-choice questions.
Certification:
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a compact certification card issued by the Irish Heart Foundation/American Heart Association. This certification remains valid for a duration of two years. It is important to note that this course holds international recognition due to its accreditation from both the Irish Heart Foundation and the American Heart Association.
Renewal:
To maintain qualification status after the initial two-year certification period, participants are required to retake the course. Refresher training is not applicable for individuals holding a valid certification.
