Evacuation Chair Training

Course Description:
The Evacuation Chair Training is a practical program designed to instruct key personnel on the safe and effective use of the Evac+Chair. Participants will learn how to assist and evacuate individuals who require assistance or are unable to evacuate independently.

Course Objectives:
The primary goal of this training is to equip participants with the necessary skills and confidence to operate the Evacuation Chair competently. The course covers the following topics:

1. Understanding fire safety
2. Fire behavior and spread
3. Evacuation procedures
4. Personal Emergency Evacuation Planning (PEEPS)
5. Principles of safe lifting for transferring individuals in and out of the chair
6. Handling and assembly of the chair
7. Putting the chair user at ease
8. Moving and transferring evacuees from various locations to stairs
9. Descending stairs with the chair
10. Practical application of the chair in different scenarios
11. Proceeding to the designated assembly point

Certification and Qualification:
Upon successful completion of the course, delegates who meet the training standards will receive a 2-year Certificate of Competency 

Attendees are required to have completed a Manual Handling Course prior to participating in the Evacuation Chair Course.
